VertexRSI C240M 2.4M Mobile Antenna

The VertexRSI C240M Lightweight 2.4-meter Mobile Antenna is designed for worldwide transmit and receive operation in C, X, Ku and Ka-Band.

This mobile antenna consists of a carbon fiber composite reflector and back beam mounted on a cable-driven, elevation-over-azimuth positioning system. This results in an antenna with superior stiffness and high performance under wind loading conditions.

The unique shape and the accurate reflector surface provide exceptionally low sidelobe and cross-polarization performance well within INTELSAT and EUTELSAT requirements. VertexRSI C-Band Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA)

The VertexRSI C-Band SSPAs incorporate a modular architecture that includes the RF modules, power supplies, logic, fans, and front panel assembly.

Using technology developed for VertexRSI’s ModuMAX™ amplifiers, these rack-mount SSPAs offer output powers of 100, 125, 200 or 250 watts across the standard 5.850 to 6.425 GHz or extended 5.850 to 6.725 GHz satellite uplink bands. VertexRSI QuadMod™ SSPA Systems for C, X and Ku-Band

The VertexRSI QuadMod SSPAs are completely modular RF amplifier systems that offer output powers of up to 800 watts in C-Band, 700 watts in X-Band, or 400 watts in Ku-Band.

VertexRSI ModuMAX™ SSPAs for C, Ku and X-Band

The VertexRSI ModuMAX™ SSPAs are completely modular solid-state power amplifier systems for world-wide satellite communications.

Most satellite earth stations cannot afford down time due to equipment failure, so they employ redundancy – two of everything – at a significant increase in cost and complexity. This made sense when the final amplifier stage was a single tube and thus a single point failure. However, now that solid state is a viable and practical amplifier technology, solutions other than brute-force redundancy make better sense.

The ModuMAX SSPA consists of eight identical, fully interchangeable RF plug-in modules that are conveniently accessible from the front panel. Module status is visually indicated by an LED on each module as well as the control panel display.

Complete failure of a module causes a drop of only 1.2 dB in output power without the momentary loss of signal caused by redundant switchover systems. Defective modules can be hot-swapped while the SSPA continues to operate. Spare RF modules are affordable, since they contain only a fraction of the RF power transistors in the SSPA.

The VertexRSI Compact Solid-State Power Block Converter combines an integrated L-Band BUC and GaAs IMFET-based output section to provide 25 watts of saturated power over the extended Ku- 13.75–14.50 GHz satellite uplink band.

Housed in a lightweight, weatherized enclosure with integral heatsink and fan, the unit is intended for direct integration on small aperture or field-deployable antenna applications. Remote control and status monitoring functions are provided via an RS-422 link.
